Messerschmitt 109G
ME 109G 8/JG based at Lüneburg, Germany. Flown by Unteroffizier Gunther Sahl. The ME109G was produced in greater numbers than any other model. It featured two 12 mm MG 131 machine guns. The breech feeder of these heavy guns could not be housed in the standard cowling, so they were protected by the two circular bumps.
