Spitfire MK IX Royal Australian Airforce
We are pleased to announce that we are offering a bespoke model of the "Grey Nurse" squadron Supermarine Spitfire MK IX. This aircraft's paint scheme features the shark's teeth nose art and wears the markings of A58-602/RG-V, which was the personal 457 Squadron aircraft of Wg Cdr RH Gibbes. He was the commander of No. 80 Wing RAAF, based at Morotai, Philippines, to provide cover for ground attack Bristol Beaufighters up to April 1945. This is a bespoke model commissioned by us.
