Bluebird K7 Boat 12"
The Bluebird K7 was originally powered by a Metropolitan Vickers "Beryl" turbo jet engine of straight-through design, with a 10-stage axial compressor, single-stage turbine. This was replaced by a Bristol Siddeley Orpheus turbo jet as used in a Folland Gnat. The Bluebird K7 with Donald Campbell in command of the wheel achieved seven world water speed records between 1955 and 1964.
